DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
The Development Director is responsible for identifying funding opportunities that align with and support the activities and mission of Theatre Prometheus. This position will supervise the Development Associate and work alongside the artistic and production teams on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities include:
Identifying, applying to and tracking grant opportunities
Collaborating with colleagues in Development, HR, and Production to strategize social media campaigns for for capital campaign drives and donor stewardship
Identifying donor audiences, including major donor prospects, and planning stewardship activities to retain and grow donor base
Plan and execute project-based crowdfunding campaigns
Work collaboratively with the artistic and production teams as needed to support the production of shows throughout the season
Identify opportunities for community partnership and sponsorship
Develop donor communications plan and write and edit all donor-centric communications.
Requirements:
Familiarity with fundraising best-practices
Experience in grant writing and/or administration
Familiarity with major crowdfunding platforms
Passion for diverse, women-focused theatre
Works well independently and as part of a team
A flair for the creative and a desire to further Theatre Prometheus’ mission
Please note that we are not currently able to provide full payment for this position. We offer a small, one-time stipend for our administrative staff and use the rest of our limited budget to pay artists and tech crew. We are eager to work with you to grow our budget to the point that we can change this!
