The Communications Associate works with the Communications Director to create and strategize digital content for upcoming programs.

Collaborating with colleagues in Development, HR, and Production to strategize social media campaigns for upcoming events
Engaging audiences on social media by responding to comments and questions
Creating promotional graphics for social media and newsletter emails, in tandem with Communications Director
Resizing photos and adjusting copy for different digital platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, website, email newsletter)
Occasionally taking photos for social media posts at Theatre Prometheus events (fundraisers, opening nights, rehearsals)
Supporting Communications Director with press outreach
At least one year's experience working at a non-profit, preferably theatre-related
Fluent in major social media platforms and best practices
Familiar with website editing and upkeep (particularly Squarespace)
Passion for diverse, women-focused theatre
Works well independently and as part of a team
A flair for the creative!
Please note that we are not currently able to provide payment for this position. We use our limited funds to pay artists and tech crew, and none of the administrative team takes any compensation. We are eager to work with you to grow our budget to the point that we can change this!
