The Communications Associate works with the Communications Director to create digital content for multiple platforms and ensure it is released on schedule.

Monitoring social media accounts for audience interaction (fans, peer theatre groups, et al.)
“Liking” and otherwise responding to comments and questions on Theatre Prometheus social media posts
Creating promotional graphics for social media and newsletter emails, in tandem with Comms Director
Resizing photos and rewording text copy for different digital platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, website, email newsletter)
Occasionally taking photos for social media posts at Prometheus events (fundraisers, opening nights, rehearsals)
Assist Communications Director in reaching out to members of the press prior to each production
At least one year's experience working at a non-profit, preferably theatre-related.
Fluent in major social media platforms and best practices
Familiar with website editing and upkeep (particularly Squarespace)
Enthusiasm for theatre
Passion for diverse, women-focused theatre
Willingness to learn
Works well with others
Please note that we are not currently able to provide payment for this position. We use our limited funds to pay artists and tech crew, and none of the administrative team takes any compensation. We are eager to work with you to grow our budget to the point that we can change this!
